Game of Thrones 1/6 scale Tyrion Lannister Action Figure

Game of Thrones 1/6 scale Tyrion Lannister Action Figure

Game of Thrones 1/6 scale Tyrion Lannister Action Figure

There's one thing we can say about Tyrion Lannister: he may be "half" a man, but he is one HUGE CHARACTER. We loved him in the books and we are absolutely enthralled by Peter Dinklage's portrayal of Tyrion in the HBO series. He's just perfect. In many ways, Tyrion is the geek we all want to be: he's well-read, he's ultra-smart and witty, he gets the girls (even if he has to pay for them), and he's filthy stinkin' rich...

SunMod Solar Modification Kit

SunMod Solar Modification Kit

SunMod Solar Modification Kit

At first, we saw a picture of a solar-powered TV remote and thought to ourselves, "Wait? The TV remote lives INDOORS. Why would we want to make it solar-powered?" Then we realized that this could kill two angry birds with one stone. For starters, we'd have a remote that's always charged. But most importantly, we'd have to always leave the remote on the windowsill next to the couch, thus starting a good habit. This good habit will alleviate us of all the pain and suffering caused when we forget where we left the remote. Brilliant. Now we just need a few more kits to modify our game controllers. Add the SunMod Kit to any AA or AAA battery powered device and you will never need new batteries again. One set of NiMH batteries (not included) will last you forever because the sun will recharge them! Included in the kit is a flexible solar cell 4.8V with soldered metal connectors, mailable packaging, and double-sided tape. It's a fun and easy hack and a great way to get familiar with solar power projects. Product Specifications Hack any AA or AAA battery powered device to make it solar powered Never need new batteries again - just use the sun! Included: Flexible solar cell 4.8v with soldered metal connectors Mailable packaging and double-sided tape Easy way to break into solar power projects NiMH batteries are required and not included

Amoeba Dual Purpose Digital Microscope

Amoeba Dual Purpose Digital Microscope

Amoeba Dual Purpose Digital Microscope

As wee geeks, we loved our science classes. Science was always fun and hands-on and related to the things we interacted with in our daily lives. Getting to play with the microscopes fell in the category of Best. Day. Ever. Using a microscope was like looking into a different world. We saw things that we didn't even knew existed - like amoebas!

But we couldn't take the microscope home. And we had to share it with our lab partner, a kid with a purple spot on his left nostril, a clear sign of his grape-scented marker huffing habit. If only we had a microscope at home: we could have been studying science every night and every weekend.

This dual purpose microscope is perfect for the home scientist. It features high powered specimen slide viewing and lower power to get a closer look at stamps, coins, and other small objects. You can even detach Amoeba’s tube for convenient handheld digital viewing of large objects. Need to snap a picture or video of your findings? UV Monkey

UV Monkey

UV Monkey

Before we went into space ourselves we first sent a few monkeys up there as a test. You know, check it out, see how it feels, bring back a detailed report and let us know how it worked out. These "brave" monkeys flew a number of missions to investigate the various biological effects of going into space, so we would have a better idea of what humans might experience. This small keyring gadget is like your own personal space monkey. The UV Monkey will assist you by checking UV levels so that you know when to charge solar devices - and when to protect your skin. Once exposed to sunlight, the center will change to different shades of purple to indicate increasing levels of UV light (darker means higher level of UV). The UV Monkey can indicate 4 different ranges of the UV Index (Index 1-2, Index 3-5, Index 6-8, Index 9-11).

MicroStylus Compact Capacitive Touch Stylus

MicroStylus Compact Capacitive Touch Stylus

MicroStylus Compact Capacitive Touch Stylus

This just might be the best stylus ever made. I’m completely serious. - Matt Burns, TechCrunch Woe are we, the clumsy, the fat-fingered. It takes us twice as long to text because we're either cursing auto-correct or constantly backspacing to correct our mistakes. We've bookmarked every site we like because we can't be trusted to type URLs. Our accuracy in Angry Birds is pitiful, our verisimilitude in drawing games is laughable. We can't even pick up the right letter from our rack in Words with Friends. Woe, woe, woe. No more! The MicroStylus Jack is the tiny stylus that will have you texting with the skill of a middle schooler on Red Bull. Precision machined from aircraft grade aluminum, the MicroStylus has a soft silicone tip that gives you the edge for texting, drawing, emailing, or gaming. Where do you store this tiny wonder, you ask? Right in your headphone jack. Bam. It keeps dust out of your phone's interior while standing at the ready for your next move on Words with Friends. (Better take advantage of that TW square!) Product Specifications The world's smallest capacitive touch stylus Milled aluminum body with a soft silicone tip Perfect for an on-the-go stylus to take notes or game Keeps your screen free of greasy fingerprints Stores in your 3.5mm headphone jack Doubles as an audio jack dust cap Compatible with all capacitive touch surfaces (iPhone, Android, tablets, etc)

Monkey Light 8-Bit Bike Wheel Light

Monkey Light 8-Bit Bike Wheel Light

Monkey Light 8-Bit Bike Wheel Light

Let's get one thing clear, we like lights on our bikes. Maybe it's because we want a pedal-powered lightcycle, or maybe it's just because LEDs make us happy deep down inside. Whatever. While we do have some excellent simple LED bike lights (see below), there are times when we want to pull out all the stops. These times call for us to step up the hardware. These times call for a Monkey Light 8-Bit Bike Wheel Light! The Monkey Light 8-Bit Bike Wheel Light is just a lovely piece of awesome. The battery pack straps to your bike wheel's hub (so it doesn't mess up the balance) and the light unit quickly installs near the tire. With a few button presses, you're selecting one of 20 different light patterns which will blast out of both sides of your tire (5 super-bright LEDs per side). And then you get to select the colors you want (each theme has many color options). Finally, use science (persistence of vision) and your own muscles (pedaling power) to turn 10 spots of light into awesome streaking patterns. Skulls, invaders from space, rocket ships, fiery comets, and 16 more! Get one Monkey Light 8-Bit Bike Wheel Light for each tire, and you will have the coolest bicycle ever (with the singular exception of Pee-Wee Herman's). Hollow Spy Coins

Hollow Spy Coins

Hollow Spy Coins

These days spy tools have all gone high tech... don't get us wrong, it's pretty cool to packet sniff someone's network to ferret out secrets, but it just doesn't have the same spy flavor as using a tiny camera to take covert photos for later conversion to microfilm. That's why we love these retro style Hollow Spy Coins. Each coin is precision hand milled to create a secret compartment inside. Once closed, it's virtually impossible to distinguish these spy coins from a regular coin. Store your secrets then pass it off to your undercover contact as pocket change... no one will be the wiser. The half dollar is even capable of storing a micro SD card. Just think, gigs of data in a coin... 007 would be so jealous.

Giant Foam Polyhedral Dice

Giant Foam Polyhedral Dice

Every D&D player parent dreams of the day when their youngsters pick up their glittering polyhedrals for the first time. Sometimes, however, those dreams are nightmares as those little dice are certainly choking hazards. You'd be best to keep those dice out of your youngling's hands until they're old enough.

You'd hate to discourage them from exercising their creativity, and prevent them from joining in on the fun of slashing a Kobold in twain with your vorpal sword, but you're concerned for their safety. If only somebody made giant polyhedrals made out of foam... if only...

Oh, goody! ThinkGeek's come to the rescue again! This set of 5 polyhedral dice fits great in your fist, is all squishy, and is a good start for your pint-sized player-to-be. Included in the set is a 4-sider, 8-sider, 10, 12, and 20. I know, there's no six sider, but nobody's perfect.

Of course, for those of you that haven't spawned yet, and are prone to violence towards bastard DMs that giggle with delight when you roll critical failures at your save-vs-death rolls, feel free to chuck this nice soft 20 sided icosahedron at their stupid smiling faces. It'll bounce off, no harm done, but sooo satisfying.

External USB SATA Drive Dock

External USB SATA Drive Dock

External USB SATA Drive Dock

Storage is cheap - less than a dollar per gigabyte. Music and video are being archived at home by everyone from you to your grandmother. Consequently, hard-drives are being upgraded constantly, and quite a few of them end up getting discarded. Just because they're small, though, doesn't make them useless. Slip your spare hard drives into this USB dock and it mounts as an available volume on your Windows, Mac OS, or Linux computer via either a USB or an eSATA connector. Hot-swap with a new drive by pressing the center button on the base and jamming in a new drive. Making the dock even more awesome - it can connect equally well with big 3.5" desktop SATA hard drives and 2.5" laptop hard-drives. Choose between our dual-dock that can hold two drives, or the single-dock unit that holds a single drive.
