Bullet Shell Whistle

Bullet Shell Whistle

There is one very simple piece of survival equipment that many folks forget about: a whistle. A whistle can quickly and easily warn of danger or signal your location. So, we wanted to find a really unusual whistle for y'all. And this is it. What makes it so unique? Well, it's crafted out of a for real bullet shell. That's why we call it the Bullet Shell Whistle. Aren't we clever?

The Bullet Shell Whistle is made out of a real bullet shell - hand-crafted to make sure it's free of danger (lead, going boom, etc). It's got a paracord (550 lb) loop on it so it can easily attach to your gear, pack, keychain, or any loopy thing you have on your person. It's also loud - tested up to about 120 dB (which is just a little softer than an actual gunshot). So get a Bullet Shell Whistle for your survival gear today, and be the envy of all those who survive tomorrow!

Bullet Shell Whistle

•Brilliant (and wicked) survival whistle hand-crafted out of a spent bullet casing

(.223 / 5.56 to be precise).

•Paracord loop attached to hang from belt, pack, keychain, piercing, etc.

•Totally safe to put to your lips (no powder, lead, residue, or chance of going bang).

•Peaks at approx. 120dB.

•Dimensions: 1.75" long (whistle); approx. 4.25" long (from tip of whistle to end of cord).

Click Dip-Switch Watch

Click Dip-Switch Watch

We spent numerous hours of the 1980s in our local arcades, pumping quarters into our favorite machines. These days, if we want to relive our childhoods, we have to go to PAX (or PAX East) to hang in the classic arcade room. Unfortunately, turning a room of our house into a dank, sticky-floored, blinky-lighted sanctum of gaming is out of the question for both reasons of money and housemate relations.

The Click Dip Switch Watch allows us to embrace the glory days of arcade gaming and have it embrace us... on the wrist. The dip switch was used in arcade games to store settings back in the days before RAM. We love the ingenious way dip switches are used to show the functions of this digital watch. Each dip switch activates a different function of the watch, from bar graph metered time display, 12 hour and 24 hour digital time display, month, date, day of week, and backlight. The strap even looks like electronic ribbon and it comes packaged in an actual circuit board.

Giant Foam Polyhedral Dice

Giant Foam Polyhedral Dice

Every D&D player parent dreams of the day when their youngsters pick up their glittering polyhedrals for the first time. Sometimes, however, those dreams are nightmares as those little dice are certainly choking hazards. You'd be best to keep those dice out of your youngling's hands until they're old enough.

You'd hate to discourage them from exercising their creativity, and prevent them from joining in on the fun of slashing a Kobold in twain with your vorpal sword, but you're concerned for their safety. If only somebody made giant polyhedrals made out of foam... if only...

Oh, goody! ThinkGeek's come to the rescue again! This set of 5 polyhedral dice fits great in your fist, is all squishy, and is a good start for your pint-sized player-to-be. Included in the set is a 4-sider, 8-sider, 10, 12, and 20. I know, there's no six sider, but nobody's perfect.

Of course, for those of you that haven't spawned yet, and are prone to violence towards bastard DMs that giggle with delight when you roll critical failures at your save-vs-death rolls, feel free to chuck this nice soft 20 sided icosahedron at their stupid smiling faces. It'll bounce off, no harm done, but sooo satisfying.

Herocross DC Comics Metal Figures

Herocross DC Comics Metal Figures - Batman

Herocross DC Comics Metal Figures - Batman

We're looking forward to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. No matter how we feel about what we've seen in the trailers and leaked images, we're looking forward to the release of the movie, if only to give us more reason to talk about Batman and Superman in mixed (read: non-geek) company. Plus, if we don't like the movie, we can rewrite it and direct it with our own figures and upload it on YouTube. Nyah nyah...
